Captain Nemo's Services
Not only are all of our technicians employees of our store, we are also aquarium hobbyists. Collectively we possess that ability to maintain and install aquariums that include, but are not limited to fully planted tanks, tropical fish and cichlids, saltwater fish only, saltwater reefs, brackish water, and even Paludariums (land and water environments). We specialize in reef aquariums. Additionally we enjoy the ability to properly and efficiently diagnose and resolve a multitude of fish and coral ailments. As hobbyists our technicians approach every installation as if it were their own personal tank which they would be proud to claim as their own. Their personal experience in the aquaria industry also allows them to implement creative ideas and comprehensive solutions pertaining to filtration, lighting, and other husbandry that accompanies various aquarium installations.
Captain Nemo’s Aquarium Superstore offers an assortment of aquarium design choices, shapes, sizes, and background colors. Aquarium types include, but are not limited to walls model, peninsula, divider, corner pie, bullet, bow front, built-in, cylinder, island, corner pentagon, semi circle, and bubble. Sizes include, but are not limited to popular choices such as 50, 100, 125, 150, 250, and 300 gallon tanks. These tanks can be fashioned from commercial grade acrylic with a standard thickness of 5/8”, glass, or complete or partial Starfire glass. Captain Nemo’s also offers quality custom cabinetry individually built to suit each client requirements, and made-to-order custom aquariums. Support for very large displays employs 2” tubular powder coated steel framing. Dependant upon application, 2x3 or 2x4 stud framing is used. A complete custom quote and full cost analysis is created for each service client based on their specific needs.
Contracted scheduled monthly service maintenance includes: examination of all fish, inspection of all equipment, cleaning of the acrylic aquarium surfaces inside and outside, rotation of corals with pre-cleaned specimens as part of the on-going service program, cleaning of plastic plants and ornaments, replacing/cleaning mechanical filters, cleaning of protein skimmer, refilling automatic feeder, checking inventory of food, hydro cleaning gravel, water quality testing, water changes, marine salts, foods (a variety of dry, freeze dried, and frozen), supplements and medications. A specific technician is assigned to a client’s aquarium, and computerized records are kept of all service schedules. Additionally, a detailed care sheet is provided for the client following every visit. All installation services include a one-year warranty. For an additional cost, Captain Nemo’s service technicians can provide 24/7 on-call emergency service.
Our aquatic experts can provide training, as well as, diagnose and treat for problem areas and health problems. Furthermore, our experts are skilled in the breakdown and set-up of all aquariums should a move be necessary. Upgrades are at the client’s discretion, and future quotes can be provided to fit the client’s needs.
